We have already told you about the real estate of world stars of Hollywood and sports, major businessmen and oligarchs. Where do the world's political leaders live? It seems that this should be a secret, because the addresses of the "powerful" are closed from the public for obvious security reasons. However, important and interesting is the fact that, in addition to security, it is necessary for big politicians to remain transparent to their voters and show them that their standard of living is in line with their income. That is why information about the real estate of politicians often flashes in the media and is an excellent tool to either praise a politician for modesty and accessibility for the people, or condemn him for an irrepressible passion for luxury.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been a model of a modest politician for years, her address is known to all residents of Berlin. Not a single journalistic investigation has been able to find illegally acquired real estate objects from Mrs. Merkel. The Chancellor's apartment is located in a typical Berlin building, which is not specifically fenced off from passers-by. The eccentric Boris Johnson can also boast of his accessibility to the people - he lives in a special residence for prime ministers. He prefers to travel around London by bike.
Different countries have different approaches to the coverage of politicians' property. The question of where the Russian leader lives is tightly closed from the public, but for the ex-President of the United States, Donald Trump, his own real estate is a pride. He is, after all, the most famous real estate developer in the world, earning the highest position in the state. Well, kings remain kings and live in palaces simply by birthright, a vivid example of a modern monarchy is the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Palace of Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara

The luxurious palace and the current residence of Recep Erdogan and his family was built in 2014 under the leadership of the President-elect of Turkey. The author of the project was the famous Turkish architect Shefik Birkiyye, and initially it was assumed that the office of the Prime Minister would be located in the palace, but after Erdogan took over as president, it was decided to make the building his official residence. The building was built in the Bestep district of the Ataturk Forestry, which was awarded the first degree of a protected zone, which means a ban on any construction in this area. Despite all the prohibitions, Erdogan's decision was to build a building in the reserve and invest a large sum in it, which caused outrage among his fellow citizens. However, the construction of the luxurious palace began in 2011, and the grand opening took place in 2014. The site on which the palace is located covers an area of 1.77 sq km. The complex has 1,000 rooms, and the private residence of the President has 250 rooms. It houses the Ataturk Museum, the pink mansion, the office of the chief adjutant, the glass mansion, new office buildings, reception rooms, and press conference rooms. Also on the territory there are sports facilities, a fire station, a greenhouse, the presidential guard barracks and much more. The approximate cost of the palace is $ 648 million.
